The Alert1One Bay Area branch officially opened its doors in January of 2005 with co-owners and partners, Rick Arcari and Chad Harper. Our specializations in the security industry include: residential and commercial burglar alarms, security screens, home theater, intercoms, video surveillance and access-control systems.

Owner-Partner, Rick Arcari originally hails from Michigan where he began working in the service and hospitality industry. He came to California in 1987 and continued to learn the fine art of service in some of the San Francisco Bay area’s finest hotels and restaurants. In the end, he gained 20 years of experience working in the hospitality industry. In 1996, Rick left hospitality and entered into the business of security. He has worked with and run the sales forces in some of the largest and best-known names in the alarm industry, including ADT, Protection One, PSI and Monitronics. Rick’s philosophies in the business world are simple and direct: “Do what you say you will”, and “Under promise but over deliver”.

Owner-Partner, Chad Harper grew up in a military family. He spent some of his earlier years in California and returned again in 1997 to pursue his own business ambitions and start his own security company. Chad started working in security in 1994 for a company called Westinghouse Security, gaining the experience and knowledge he desired. In 2000, he met Rick Arcari at Westinghouse (which had now become Protection One), and realized that they both had the same philosophies and work ethics when it came to running their own business. After much planning and investing, Alert1One came to fruition and opened their doors in 2005. Chad’s philosophy in the business world is simple and direct: “This is a service based industry, and that is our number one priority”.
